MOD Pizza: A People First Mission
This coming Wednesday, October 4th, MOD Pizza is opening a store at Antioch Crossing (5315 N. Antioch Rd. Kansas City, MO 64119). MOD Pizza handles pizza in a unique way, individually sized with flat prices and made on demand. Yet, MOD Pizza is so much more than pizza. MOD Pizza has created a culture that values its employees, cares for its community, and spreads kindness. Their Liberty store opened this past summer and chose to partner with Hillcrest Hope as an avenue to “pay it forward.” Their opening day proceeds were donated to Hillcrest Hope. The week of Thanksgiving, the week MOD was founded, the company gives back $1 per pizza to their partner charity.
“At its heart, MOD is a platform for doing good. The idea? If we take care of our employees, they’ll take care of you, and our business will take care of itself. We call it Spreading MODness.”
When MOD Pizza set its sites on a store at Antioch Crossing, they once again reached out in generosity to partner with us. This partnership means a generous donation of opening day proceeds and also a serious invitation for employment to Hillcrest Hope residents. They desire as a company to give anyone the chance to be a great employee.
From their own words:
“Spreading MODness means a lot of things, but mostly it means treating our employees (aka the MOD Squad) right. By putting people first, we strive to be a force for positive change in their lives and the communities they serve. From above-industry pay and benefits to hiring people with special needs – including people in need of a second chance – our ethos is deeply rooted in acceptance, opportunity and development. The result? An amazing spirit of individuality, teamwork and service has emerged. It’s our culture of doing good – and it’s catching on.”
Join us and MOD next Wednesday to eat, drink, and support the awesome work of MOD.
